Musical Tour

Posted on December 22nd, 2008 by admin, under Entertainment Travel.

Bands and other musical artists get to travel far and wide when they go on music tours to promote their craft or to attend benefit concerts and do charity work. The flip side of this is that the listening public could also get a chance to see the world without spending a buck and all in the comfort of one’s home or automobile. They could experience the different parts of the world through the music of their favorite world-famous artists; the secret lies in sitting back and paying special attention to the sounds.
Here‘s a sample playlist:

Ireland - The world renowned rock band, U2, touches on the beer-drinking and carefree nature of Irishmen with some of their songs; driving anyone from any country to jump, dance and bang their heads to their well-defined sound. The sound of Cranberries and the smooth voice of Dolores O’Riordan take one to Ireland’s breezy shores. However, no other Irish band captures the traditional Irish vibe better than the Corr siblings. The Corrs brings Ireland to its listeners by putting in instrumental tracks on their records and using very distinct instruments like the violin, the tin whistle and the bodhran.

Latin America - The musical genius and socially relevant Santana could be sultry, nature-like, soulful, exotic, wild and sentimental- all that is alluring about South America. His music captures the eccentric yet lucid and at times emotional thrill of the Spanish-speaking people.
